Philippe Cousteau visits Chicago on the shores of Lake Michigan, and discovers the canals that run through this city. Then we go to Lake Seneca in New York, where high school students test the water quality.  Philippe travels to Philadelphia where scientists monitor a creek by gathering fish in an unusual way. Then we head north to Quebec City, where in the winter, the St. Lawrence River becomes a frozen river.
